We have a little pear tree, but the horses keep trying to knock it over, so I'm not sure if it will survive to any kind of maturity. But it produces pears that look a lot like that--lots of little spots on the color and a slightly rough texture to the skin--so you always get this homegrown feel from them. Not like those picture-perfect pears you get at the store. The fact that this one is a little bit off gives the whole picture a kind of... "hmm" factor to it that makes me want to sit and study it a little longer. It's not just a pear on a blue background, it's a little... something else.
That's probably more than you wanted to know. Nevertheless, I like it.
