Artist's Comments

I stumbled upon this beautiful scene while trying to a capture a close up shot of the two hawks in the background. I sat here for a few seconds and waited for the sun to rise up from my right hand side. This created a beautiful orange hue color and also served to backlight the entire scene. That’s what great about photography, sometimes, all though I did not accomplish my original goal; I did capture a glimpse of nature at her finest.

Taken on the outskirts of Todd Manor, located in Belle Vernon, Pa. No filters, No thrills, shot with a 100-400mmL lens and my trusty 30D.

Edit:
Please note that the birds of prey in the background have been changed from eagles to hawks.

Stunning shot... Is the 'foggyness' the marine layer which you usually see in Los Angeles?

"So anyways, I was standing there waiting to use the pay phone and this guy who was on the phone, turns around and tips his hat like this. Who do you think that guy was? Emilio Estevez. I was like, "Emillllllllio." - Steve Butabi
Marvellous! :) wow you've captured real beauty of the dawn.

I agree 100%, it is one of the most truest fact about photography. It happened to me so many times. Love your work, keep it up!
