I remember a time not too long ago when children used to fill this street, small business people prospered and the sky always seemed to be a bit brighter. As I scurried around to get a couple shots of the now dilapidated town, I noticed one of the local- would be thugs- scouting me out. He carefully watched me as I would take a few shots, jump into my vehicle, drive a few feet and then repeat this process for the next half a mile or so. On top of this visual encroachment the local policeman drove past me 3 times, in a matter of five minutes. Each time he looked at me with an expression of discontent. The street that once greeted its guests with smiles of enchantment and virtue has now transformed into a barren wasteland of lost hope. It was after this I realized; I am no longer a guest in a beautiful town but a stranger in a strange land.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
