well i dotn really like it, but i can see it has some features non subscribers didnt previously have. i sa its too soon to tell cuz i havent seen all of whats been changed yet, and i havent bought my sub yet and tried to put css to it... i have a feeling its going to be troublesome.
I hate the message centre. I liked being able to see most of the journals/deviations one one frikin' page rather than ten pages. And having the "personal toolbar" with the account name, deviations, messages, and logout options at the very top is a bad idea. I foresee clicking logout instead of a tab above it many times.
The rest is meh, pretty much similar enough to v5 to not make much of an impression on me. But the message centre is more than enough to make me greatly dislike the new version.

Personally, I was taken a bit aback while checking my messages after coming back home the other day. A few minutes later, and everything began to fall into place. Some thoughts...
-- First, the message center. Oh MAN. I love the new message center. Some people have been commenting on the similarities to Gmail and other such mail clients, but I think it's very appropriate. The organization and customization options are a much-needed improvement. Also, the inclusion of the devwatch in the message center was a nice touch.
-- Speaking of the devwatch, I was so ecstatic to see back and forward buttons on there now! Commenting (especially while catching up) has never been easier. The other night, I managed to check out nearly 400 deviations in just a few hours. No need to go back to the devwatch page anymore, except when clearing everything at the end.
-- The front page messages. I'm so glad these are now included in the message center.
-- Login/messages bar at top. Great touch for better browsing. And the customization of the navigation bar is pretty cool. I'm so glad they've included links directly to DDs and such. Along the same lines, the footer is wonderful. Awesome job including customization options and links to popular news and the deviousness award.
-- Now, for a few negative points. Has anyone been having problems viewing polls in the message center? I saw a few the other day when v6 was first released, but oddly enough, there haven't been any since then. I'm guessing this a bug currently being addressed.
-- There have been several instances where I couldn't delete various items (deviations, journals, comments) from the message center until after several attempts. Also, the "emoticon legend" seems to have disappeared from the message center when composing a reply.
-- One controversial aspect of the new message center is that apparently everyone can now reply to messages within the message center and browse the devwatch in thumbnail mode, features that were previously available only to subscribers. While I'm glad everyone can now enjoy these features, pretty much the only benefits of being a subscriber are a couple of extra forums, ad-free browsing, CSS, and the ability to view 120 deviations per page.
Overall, I really love v6 a lot. It's not perfect, and not everyone is used to it yet, but I'm sure we will come to love it with time.
I really don't understand all these people saying they hate it. It's waaaay more convenient having everything on one page when checking messages and deviations.
I think they're just bawwwwwing over change. They'll grow to like it when they realize how much better it really is.
